Travelling to Rennes

Rennes, the historical capital of Brittany, is located 350km west from Paris.

By air

Rennes airport is located 5km south-west from the city centre.

It is essentially connected to french cities by Air France. Low cost companies operate between Rennes and the UK during the summer period. Visit http://fr.flybe.com/ and http://www.aerlingus.com/

It is also possible to fly to Dinard from several locations in the UK, visit http://www.ryanair.com. Dinard is located on the north coast near Saint-Malo (65km from Rennes). Train service is available between Saint-Malo  and Rennes.

By road

Rennes is the gateway to Brittany. It is very easy to access thanks to a well-developed road network (free dual carriageway to Nantes, Brest, Lorient or Saint-Brieuc, motorway to Paris).

By train

Rennes has a high-speed train station. There are 18 daily links to Paris (2 hours, shortly 1½ hours). From Paris-Montparnasse train station, high speed trains will reach Rennes in 2h-2h½. High speed trains are also available from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport. They reach Rennes in 3h.

Conference venue

The conference will be held at the University of Rennes 1, at 4km of the city centre, on the campus of Beaulieu (main entrance : 263 avenue du Général Leclerc).

By bus

You may use lines 4 (Beaulieu Atalante), or 6 (Cesson-Sévigné, Base de Loisirs), or 40ex (Beaulieu Atalante) from République Station to Tournebride bus stop. Tickets can be purchased from the driver or at République Subway Station.
