Welcome to the 9th European Workshop on Phosphorus Chemistry

The 9th European Workshop on Phosphorus Chemistry (EWPC-9) is an interdisciplinary forum for researchers and PhD students, working in the field of phosphorus chemistry. In addition, the EWPC-9 is an important platform for the European phosphorus community to learn about the most recent results from a broad range of areas such as inorganic, organic, theoretical, physical chemistry, materials science and catalysis. The program of the workshop will include 35 oral presentations delivered by PhD students, an extensive poster session and a keynote lecture given by the eminent Prof. Y. Matano (Kyoto University, Japan). As in the previous meetings in Kaiserslautern (2004), Bonn (2005), Leipzig (2006), Zandvoort (2007), Regensburg (2008), Florence (2009), Budapest (2010) and Münster (2011) animated discussions among the participants will be stimulated by selected session chairpersons. Finally, awards will be given for the best talks, posters and the best chairperson.

The meeting will start on Thursday, March 22nd, at 9.30 am and will finish on Friday, March 23rd, around 5.30 pm.
We remind you that no inscription fees to the symposium are required.

The EWPC-9 will be preceded by different meetings of COST action CM0802 (PhoSciNet). The management committee (MC) of PhoSciNet will meet on Tuesday, March 20th, at 2 pm. Presentations of the five working groups of PhoSciNet (WG meeting) will follow on Wed, March 21st. The WG meeting will last until around 6 pm. In addition, a three day PhoSciNet Training School entitled "New Frontiers in Phosphorus Chemistry" will take place in Rennes from March 19th to March 21st. The training school will comprise lectures on various fundamental and applied aspects of phosphorus chemistry by renowned experts in the field.
